A pop-up event for a Daaru chakhna bar in Bombay, Bombay Daak. Designing a cohesive visual brand story exploring into the origins of speakeasies in Bombay.
Naming and Identity
Through the 1950s, alcohol consumption and distribution of any kind could get you arrested. So, where do you go when you can't visit a pub or bar for a nightcap? An aunty's living room. The pop-up is named 'Anti Bar' because these aunties’ living rooms served liquor despite the Bombay Prohibition Act.
